Does God See Me?

Zacchaeus' Calling

What is the one thing you climb to keep from being discovered or really known? LFM’s mentor, coach, and pastor Courtney McLaughlin takes us to Luke 19:1-10 today to look at that reality. The notable Zacchaeus realizes that though he distances himself from his neighbors, he is unable to hide from the all-knowing gaze of Jesus. The tax collector experiences a life transformation as God redirects his life.

PAUSE AND PRAY

Who is up a tree in your community? And where might you be up your own tree today, competent and available to everyone else, but not vulnerable to anyone. Leaders, including ministry leaders, can make a habit of knowing everyone else, but not allowing others to really know us. Thankfully, Jesus doesn’t wait for us to get it all together. Instead, He’s willing to show up to our homes, as He did with Zacchaeus, to meet us as we are. Let’s open ourselves to Him today – and perhaps be willing to open ourselves up to someone else.
